Ontario Government

Kids Help Phone

Kids Help Phone is Canada’s only 24/7, national support service. They offer professional counseling, information and referrals, and volunteer-led, text-based support to young people.

Whether by phone, text or through our website, you can connect with someone whenever you want, however you want.

Cyber Aware Kids

Cyber Aware Kids is a new local startup focused on educating youth and families about online safety. From setting up parental controls to starting discussions about online safety to educating though various media, their unique approach makes tackling issues approachable.

They also specialize in device “lockdowns” for both Android and Apple devices.

St. Vincent de Paul Society

St. Vincent has been supporting people in the Kingston community for over 50 years. Offering critical services including an emergency food pantry, a daily hot meal program, free clothing and household goods through their WEARhouse program, and community events.

They continue promoting systemic change for poverty alleviation.

Partners In Mission Foodbank

Partners in Mission Food Bank collects, buys, and distributes food across the Kingston area. It provides food mainly through its food hamper program, which prepares bundles of food for single clients, small families, and large families.

Partners in Mission Food Bank also donates surplus food to 16 different local hot meal and shelter programs located around Kingston.

Kingston 4 Paws Service Dogs

Provides trained service dogs and their continued handling support to physically and emotionally challenged persons and their families.

Service Dogs are used for rom people with autism, PTSD and mental health issues to seizure response dogs, K4PSD has training programs that work with our clients needs.

Pregnancy Care Centre

Kingston Pregnancy Care Centre is a local non-profit organization that has been operating since 1989.

They provide compassionate support and education for individuals and families impacted by an unexpected pregnancy and its effects. All of our programs and services are free, confidential, and are offered in a safe environment.

Kingston Interval House

Kingston Interval House (KIH) provides essential, responsive, and empowering services to women, children, and youth who have experienced the impact of violence against women. KIH seeks to interrupt the cycle of domestic abuse and gender-based violence through the delivery of its core services.

The Quintilian School

Via small group and one-to-one instruction, Quintilian is a secure, positive, and nurturing environment in which children can learn and grow.

Katarokwi Learning Centre

Katarokwi Learning Centre offers a range of quality educational programs in a safe and caring environment. In their alternative setting, they embrace diversity and self-respect, respect for others and the world around us.

Katarokwi Learning Centre supports teenaged and adult students toward earning an Ontario Secondary School Diploma (OSSD).

Home Base

Home Base Housing programs are open to single adults, families, youth, and members of marginalized groups with a range of life experiences and challenges.

These may include homelessness, financial issues, substance abuse, mental health issues, developmental disabilities, head injuries, or physical disabilities.

Youth Diversion

Youth Diversion helps youth overcome challenges by providing prevention, intervention, and educational services that divert youth from risk and support their ability to thrive.

The Youth Diversion Program is a Canadian-registered charitable organization. They have offered service to youth in the Kingston area since 1974.

Special Olympics Program

The Lennox & Addington Special Olympics program has been a part of the community for years.

Recently it has been growing to include more athlete and volunteer opportunities. We strive to find sports that will include a range of ages and abilities. They stand by the athletes’ oath "Let me win...but if I cannot win let me be brave in the attempt".

The City of Kingston provides public recreation activities that include swimming, skating, outdoor classes/events, and much more.
